Product Scans is an AI-powered product intelligence platform that:
- Analyzes product labels using artificial intelligence (GPT-4o, Claude, Gemini)
- Extracts product information including ingredients, nutrition facts, and certifications
- Checks FDA and CPSC databases for product recalls
- Reports on third-party testing status when available
3. Information Disclaimer
Important: Product Scans provides information for general informational purposes only. We are not a medical, legal, or regulatory authority.
The information provided by our Service:
- Is extracted from product labels and public databases
- Is verified by multiple AI models for accuracy
- Should not be used as the sole basis for medical, dietary, or health decisions
- May not reflect the most current product formulations
- Is not a substitute for reading the actual product label
4. User Accounts and Subscriptions
Free Trial: New users receive 3 free product scans.
Subscription: After the free trial, access requires a subscription at $14.99 per year.
Promo Codes: Users may redeem promotional codes for bonus scans.
Referrals: Users can earn bonus scans by referring friends.
5. Payment Terms
- Payments are processed securely through Stripe
- Subscriptions are billed annually at $14.99
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
- Refunds are available within 30 days of purchase (see Refund Policy)
6. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or copy the Service
- Share your account credentials with others
- Use automated systems to access the Service excessively
- Resell or redistribute information obtained from the Service

The Service, including its design, features, and content, is owned by Product Scans and protected by intellectual property laws. Product information displayed is sourced from public databases and AI analysis.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of information
- We are not liable for any damages resulting from use of the Service
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service
