Delete Account and Data

Product Scans deletion requests: Use this page to request deletion of your Product Scans account and associated app data, or use the authenticated self-service controls in the web Account Center or mobile app when you can still access your account.

What You Can Request

You can ask Product Scans to delete your app account and associated data, including optional email credential metadata, saved scan history, recovery-code metadata, scan-balance state, promo or referral activity tied to the account, app access records, account-security tokens, and feedback records where deletion is allowed by law.

You can also delete saved scan-history entries from inside the app when that history is available on your device.

How to Submit a Request

  1. On the web app, open Account Center from the Account button or visit productscans.com/?account=1, then use Delete account. The Account Center requires a typed confirmation before submitting deletion to the Product Scans backend.
  2. In the mobile app, sign in, open the Account tab, and use Delete Account. The app requires typed DELETE confirmation before submitting the request to the Product Scans backend. Use the Account tab's Settings toolbar for Sign Out and session controls.
  3. If you cannot access the web app or mobile app, email privacy@productscans.com with the subject line Product Scans account deletion request.
  4. For email requests, include the Product Scans recovery code, user ID, or account email shown in the web Account Center or mobile app if you have it. If you do not have it, include your device platform, approximate date of last use, and any support email address you previously used with Product Scans.
  5. Do not send card numbers, passwords, full payment details, authentication tokens, or sensitive identity documents.

Self-service deletion requests are processed against the authenticated account. For email requests, we may ask for limited follow-up information to verify that the account belongs to you before deleting account data.

Timing

Self-service deletion requests are submitted immediately and processed by the backend when the request succeeds. We aim to acknowledge email deletion requests within 7 days and complete eligible deletion within 30 days after verification, unless a longer period is required for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, dispute, or security reasons.

Data We May Retain

Some records may be retained in limited or anonymized form when necessary for payment reconciliation, refunds, tax obligations, fraud prevention, security investigations, legal compliance, or dispute handling. When retention is required, we limit the retained data to the purpose that requires it.
